Pageant Life!!!

Ok a lot of people don't like pageants. I was one of them for awhile until I found natural pageants. I don't like glitz. They're basically telling little girls you need all this make-up and glam to look beautiful. Where in a natural pageant under 13 aren't allowed to wear any at all. So my daughter competed in her first pageant on April 30th. It was an interesting experience and she placed 2nd runner up and was awarded a state sweetheart title. So we got to go to nationals in Orlando, Florida. Now this is were it gets crazy. We spent a whole week there. Everyday was something different. I enjoyed it but I was sad by the lack of togetherness with the girls. My daughter didn't care about winning. She just wanted to have fun and meet new friends. The pageant meaning was nice but some girls weren't living that meaning. Even when they had on their crown they weren't acting like young ladies who wish to inspire. We had fun though and we did meet some amazing women and their children. We will definitely do that system again because it wasn't all bad. My daughter confidence went up. She messed up during her introduction. They let her fo back up and do it over at the end. Price wise it was one of the best I came across. At nationals we walked away as 4th runner up and a award for having the highest gpa amongst her age division academic achievement. You want your baby to win but you have to go in with the mindset that anything is possible. They could take it all or they could bomb. I just teach my daughter to do her best and if she wins yeaaah if she loses we know what we need to work on and we will be back the next year and bring it!
